So sorry to announce that we won’t be at Coral Gables Farmer’s Market this season. Unfortunately, I’m tending to a pinched nerve in my back which has me in pain and prevents me from lifting heavy objects.
Better to be safe than sorry. I will be on the the mend soon!!🫶🏾

In honor of National Gluten Day,
LET’S TALK GLUTEN!
What is Gluten?
Gluten is a structural protein naturally found in certain cereal grains.
What is the role of gluten?
Generally, bread flours are high in gluten (hard wheat); pastry flours have a lower gluten content. Kneading promotes the formation of gluten strands and cross-links, creating baked products that are chewier (as opposed to more brittle or crumbly).
What is it gluten insensitivity?
Insensitivity to gluten can trigger adverse, inflammatory, immunological, and autoimmune reactions in some people. The spectrum of gluten related disorders includes celiac disease in 1–2% of the general population, non-celiac gluten sensitivity in 0.5–13% of the general population, as well as dermatitis herpetiformis, gluten ataxia and other neurological disorders.[10][11][12][13] These disorders are treated by a gluten-free diet.

This was a very real conversation that was had with me at the very beginning of the pandemic when I was laying the groundwork for what would become Chelle’s Cutie Pies.

P.S. The person who told me that was a potential love interest at that time. Suffice it to say it did not move forward past that conversation. That is not the energy I’m on. He is now managing parties in my phone’s block list. 😩🫣

While baking for Thanksgiving this year, I thought to myself, people are willing to pay me for this innovative idea that I had the courage to pursue. It has been such a wild ride! I’ve learned about, business, people and more importantly I’ve learned a lot about myself. I am so grateful for a customer base that is fiercely loyal and goes hard in the paint for me! It means more that I can say. You guys keep me going. I’m grateful for all your support and encouragement throughout my business journey.
I’m grateful for my guardian angels that God has placed in my life. I am blessed. 🙏🏾🫶🏾
