Fun Fact! Did you know the purple martin is North America’s largest swallow, known for its glossy blue-black plumage (males) and insect-eating habits, often nesting in human-provided “birdhouses” or “condos” like the one Royd built at Gateway Farms. They are cavity-nesters that forage for flying insects, migrating long distances to South America.

Happy Wednesday! We started our new week at Royd’s and what a treat it is to see that we have our first batch of Mangos 🥭. We have been enjoying the Star Apple and Red Custard Apple. Visit and stroll the farm, pet our animals and enjoy one of our delicious Juices or Shakes!

Nothing goes to waste at Royd’s 🍌🌿
A big thank you to and for the fresh bananas. Our animals definitely enjoyed them, and what was not eaten went right back into the farm through composting.
It is all part of how we care for the land and make the most of everything we are given. From feeding the animals to giving back to the soil, it all comes full circle here at Royd’s. 🌱
Come spend the day with us. Enjoy great food, explore the nursery, see the animals, ride the bull, and bring your pups to our dog friendly space and dog park. There is something for everyone at Royd’s 🤍
