What people say

Peruvian cuisine has been gaining popularity in recent years, and Maty's is a prime example of why. This new restaurant by Chef Valerie Chang pays tribute to the best Peruvian recipes, and it does not disappoint. The menu features a variety of dishes that showcase the bold flavors and unique ingredients of Peruvian cuisine.

One standout dish is the chuleta pork chop, which is seasoned with five spice and served with pickled daikon. The tuna tiradito is another must-try, featuring blue fin tuna, yellow-eyed beans, and aji limo leche de Tigre. And for those who love pickled vegetables, the encurtidos platter offers a delicious selection of starfruit, carrots and radishes, rocoto kimchee, and abuela-style red onion.

Maty's also offers a great happy hour deal called 'La Hora Feliz' from Monday to Friday at their bar and terrace only. During this time, guests can enjoy cocktails and cancha (toasted corn kernels) while taking in the lively atmosphere.

Weekends are also a treat at Maty's as they serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. And for seafood lovers, the chita asado - whole roasted Florida dorade served with chives and ají amarillo beurre blanc - is a must-try.

Overall, Maty's delivers an authentic Peruvian dining experience with its flavorful dishes and vibrant ambiance. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the Ne First Avenue area of Miami.
