Shantel’s Jazz Cafe was a beloved barbecue restaurant located on NW 7th Avenue that served the community for more than 30 years. The restaurant frequently promoted their delicious food and good vibes through social media posts, such as promoting their popular shrimp, wings, and sweet potato fries or their Thelma's Conchy Conch Fritters. However, the restaurant announced its permanent closure via social media on January 26th, thanking its loyal customers for their support over the years but not providing any explanation as to why it closed. It's unclear whether there are any plans to reopen in another location in the future.
