On June 5th, history was made.
With immense gratitude and pride, we celebrated the dedication of Hermanos Garcia Way and the official proclamation of June 5th as Hermanos Garcia Day, honoring a family whose story has become part of the heart and identity of Miami.
What began with a dream, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to family and community has grown into a legacy that spans generations. For decades, the Garcia family has welcomed neighbors, visitors, fishermen, and food lovers to La Camaronera, sharing much more than seafood—we’ve shared tradition, perseverance, and a piece of our history.
This street name represents the sacrifice of those who came in search of opportunity, the determination of a united family, and the belief that when people work together, they can build something lasting.
To our customers, employees, friends, family, the City of Miami, and Miami-Dade County, thank you for walking this journey with us and making this recognition possible. This honor belongs to everyone who has been part of our story.
