To All Our Valued Guests and Friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of The Original Crab House.

We want to thank all of our great guests and employees for supporting us over these past years.

It was back in 1986 when started at Sunset Dr and Galloway 87av. Then 25 years at 77av and 98th St. It became the “Little hole in the wall” crab house.

We were lucky to welcome hundreds of thousands of guests from many countries and employed many people over Several decades. We are extremely humbled that so many embraced our restaurant and that we were able to succeed as long as we had. We could not have done it without all of you.

A family restaurant, Being feeling at Home was our motto, having friends and family enjoying the Crab Cracking and friendly environment. We will missed that and many memories will remain in our hearts. It was out of our hands.

A light at the end of the tunnel

Many restaurants have closed since COVID and many more will close as many other factors add up. The financial effect will be immeasurable.

Although we are closing our doors today, there may be an opportunity to reopen in the future if the circumstances allow it.

The phone number will remain the same, social and web site will remain open. Please check back for news.
