Founded by Abe Ng, son of Allan Ng who moved his family from Hong Kong to Miami with little funds to start a Chinese takeout restaurant, Sushi Maki delights its patrons with fresh and scrumptious poke and sushi. The restaurant also offers half-off wine, beer, and sake during happy hour from 5 pm - 7 pm and special events such as intimate sushi & sake nights for two. Directions to the sushi restaurant on Ponce de Leon in Coral Gables:
Public transport: Take the Green line metro rail to Douglas Road station and then transfer to Bus 42 heading towards Miami Beach. Get off at Ponce de Leon Boulevard @ Candia Avenue stop, the restaurant will be a few minutes’ walk from there.
Driving/parking: From anywhere in Coral Gables, take Ponce de Leon Blvd heading towards Miracle Mile. Drive past Miracle Mile, and after passing Almeria Avenue, keep an eye out for street parking along Ponce De Leon Boulevard. There is also a municipal parking lot one block south of the restaurant on Andalusia Avenue.
