Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie with Whipped Cream Topping 🥧❤️
Ingredients:
For the Pie:
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 large eggs
1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
1 cup granulated sugar
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
For the Whipped Cream Topping:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
Stir in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust and spread it evenly.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed. The center may still jiggle a bit; it will firm up as it cools.
Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack.
For the Whipped Cream Topping:
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
Using an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
Once the pie has cooled, slice and serve with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top.
A taste of happiness! ❤️
