Here’s my Clark Kent story! Never met the man myself, but my brother knew him. So one day, my brother tells me, “Clark wants a .” I’m like, “Bet, no problem.” Then he’s like, “Nah, you do have a problem,” and basically drops the bomb that Clark’s a size Sasquatch! Like, if there were a Ralph Lipschitz size chart, this brother would be the 6X legend!

So, I made that custom piece—only for it to get swiped. Made it again, of course. Story of my life! Rest in peace, Clark Kent—a true cog in the wheel.

Why isn’t the culture being represented authentically? Where are our DJs—the backbone of Hip Hop? Why isn’t Rocksteady Crew, the pioneers who set the standard for breakdancing, judging this event? And where’s the gear that embodies the essence of our movement?

On the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, we've failed to honor the legacy properly. We’ve let down the culture that’s shaped generations. This should have been a momentous occasion, showcasing the very best of what Hip Hop has to offer, but instead, it feels like a missed opportunity.

I’m stepping up for the next one, representing with the team! These emcees—who are they, and what have they contributed to the culture? Why isn’t Crazy Legs, one of the most iconic figures in breaking, carrying the flag?

It’s because we’ve sold out. We’ve allowed the culture to be commodified and diluted, giving away its essence without valuing its true worth. It’s time to reclaim what’s ours and ensure that the next celebration is a true reflection of Hip Hop’s roots and its global influence.
