Honored to have been invited to judge and take part in the FIU Pig Roast! 🐷🔥

As two proud FIU graduates, it was extra special to be back on campus and be part of such a fun event. FIU will always hold a special place in our hearts, and it was truly wonderful to return, reconnect, and celebrate with the FIU community.

18 years of Burger Beast. I still can’t believe I’m saying that.

This Saturday, September 12th, I’m celebrating Burger Beast’s 18th Bloggiversary at Harry’s Smoke & Dough, and I’d really love to see you there.

When I started Burger Beast in September 2008, there was no grand plan. I wanted a place to write about burgers, restaurants and the food I loved. Somehow that turned into 18 years of eating, writing, traveling, events, friendships, arguments about burgers, some ridiculous adventures and a whole lot of memories.

None of it happens without the people who have supported Burger Beast along the way. Whether you’ve been reading since 2008, found me last week, came to a Burger Beast event, bought my book, recommended a restaurant, shared one of my posts or simply stopped me somewhere to talk food, thank you.

So Saturday is about celebrating all of it.

Harry’s Smoke & Dough and Empanada Harry’s put together a special Burger Beast 18th Bloggiversary Menu for the night, including smoked burgers, the Hijo de Cruz Diablo, Beast Preparada, bacon jam sliders, BBQ, croqueta poppers, Arbetter’s Chili & Cornbread, Azucar Ice Cream topped desserts and plenty more.

There are no tickets and no admission charge. Just show up, hang out, and buy, eat and drink whatever you want.
