Well… this is not the post we wanted to make.
Our batch freezer — the machine that lets us make all of our ice cream from scratch — broke last Friday.
We’ve been trying everything we can to get it back up and running. We’ve ordered parts, replaced parts, crossed fingers, said prayers, got it working for one glorious day… and then it decided to break again.
So right now, our dipping cabinet is looking a lot emptier than we’d ever want it to look! To be completely honest, it’s very embarrassing and if I was a guest I would be justifiably upset too.
The frustrating part is that we have a brand new Carpigiani batch freezer waiting for us at our Flagler shop, still wrapped up and ready to go — but because of ongoing permit delays, we can’t use it yet.
We’re hoping to have an Electro Freeze tech here Monday, coming all the way from Gainesville, and we’re doing everything possible to get back to a full flavor lineup as quickly as we can.
In the meantime, we just want to say: thank you.
Thank you for being patient with us. Thank you for still showing up. Thank you for understanding that when you make everything from scratch, one broken machine can throw the whole rhythm off.
We’re sorry if your favorite flavor isn’t in the case right now. We promise it’s not because we forgot about it or you! We miss it too.
We’ll keep making what we can, as fast as we can, with the same love and care as always.

What does the word “company” really mean?
Yes, it means a business. But it also means the people you choose to build with. The people you trust. The people who make the mission bigger than any one person.
And we are so lucky to have the one and only Chasity in our company.
Chasity started with us as an ice cream scooper at our Citadel location, and from day one, she made an impact. Still just a couple of weeks away from turning 20, she has already shown the kind of leadership, work ethic, heart, and maturity that you simply cannot teach.
She lives our values every day. She leads by example. She teaches naturally. She cares deeply. She pushes our mission forward selflessly. And on top of all of that, she is an amazing, attentive single mom who shows up with strength and grace every single day.
Today, we are so proud to announce Chasity’s promotion to East Regional Manager.
Chasity, you are truly one of a kind. We are blessed to have a unicorn like you on our team, and we could not be prouder of the woman and leader you are becoming.

Got to be on yesterday with Melody!
What an experience. It’s not about “being on TV” it’s so much more than that. The struggle we have endured is oh so real. And lately I have seen her less and less as I focus on trying to expand this business instead of just going sideways. That endeavor has taken so much real sacrifice in so many ways, but the hardest is losing precious time with my ever growing 14 year-old.
To have this business become a vehicle for us to make lifelong memories together is all I could ever want! And these moments make it all worth it.

Out of respect for those observing Passover, we have decided to move our Fort Lauderdale grand opening to April 10 at 4 PM.

14 years old….
I don’t even know where to start to describe what I feel for you.
You are the light that keeps me going through dark times. A lot of people like to say “your kids shouldn’t be your friends” don’t know what it’s like to have a child as amazing as you! You always reach for the stars and somehow find the moon! You find a way to make me smile, lift me up, and make me feel so loved & appreciated.
There is no Sweet Melody without Melody. My life is infinitely better because you are in it. Watching you grow and watching your light shine is my biggest joy. I love you more than you can even begin to imagine!!! You are my reason for living.
