After 53 unforgettable years, Mykonos Greek Restaurant is closing its doors—but the memories, love, and legacy will live on forever.
What began as a dream by a 100% Greek family became a home away from home for generations of Miami families. Mykonos was never just a restaurant; it was a gathering place where authentic Greek food, tradition, and hospitality brought people together. We cooked the way our parents and grandparents taught us—with love, simplicity, and respect for our roots.
Over the decades, we have witnessed life unfold at our tables. We saw babies grow into adults who later returned with families of their own. We celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations, and milestones both big and small. We also stood beside you in moments of loss, hosting memorials and offering comfort through food, presence, and prayer. To be trusted with those moments was one of our greatest honors.
Through economic challenges, changing times, and countless obstacles, we survived because of you—our loyal customers, friends, and extended family. However, after the pandemic, everything shifted in ways we could not have imagined. The challenges forced us to make the difficult decision to sell and close this chapter of our lives.
We are deeply grateful to God for the 53 years He granted us, for His protection, and for every person He placed in our path. The friendships formed, the stories shared, and the love exchanged are treasures we will carry with us forever.
To the families of Miami who supported us, believed in us, and allowed us into your lives—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made Mykonos what it was. This may be a farewell, but it is also a celebration of a beautiful journey we were blessed to live with all of you.
Mykonos will always be more than a name. It is a legacy of faith, family, culture, and community.
