Denver peeps! Our favorite food festival is back Sept. 1 and 2.
For ten years, Toshi and Yasu Kizaki have turned a rooftop into something rare — a Japanese street fair with the Rockies as a backdrop, and a reason to give back at its heart.
Celebrating Denver’s vibrant culinary community, the annual Rooftop Fundraiser returns September 1 and 2, 2026, bringing the spirit of Yatai culture to an intimate, private space on historic South Pearl Street. Guests can expect steaming ramen, hand rolls, grilled fish, and other market favorites, paired with award-winning sakes, international wines, and Colorado craft beer.
Over a decade, the event has raised more than $380,000 for humanitarian causes, and this milestone year promises to be the most memorable.

Merry Christmas Eve.
When you have a long time client who is celebrating 41 years, it deserves a post.
In 1984, on Christmas Eve, brothers Toshi and Yasu Kizaki opened Sushi Den in Denver, pioneering the restaurant industry and figuring out how to bring in fresh seafood straight from Japan, thanks to their other brother Koichi who visits the Nagahama fish market every day.
Cut two - today marks 41 years, which is pretty much multiple lifetimes in the restaurant industry.
I've learned so much over the 15 years I've been working with Toshi and Yasu, including their other restaurants Izakaya Den and OTOTO Den - all on the same block in historic South Pearl Street.
Christmas joy is real!
Happy holidays and here is to 2026.
