ROOTED. GROWING. EXPANDING.

As we step into June, I find myself reflecting on what it means to grow—not just in business, but in purpose, community, and possibility.

Over the past few weeks, I had the privilege of watching something very special unfold through our first-ever Future Founders program. Seeing young people step forward with confidence, creativity, and courage reminded me why I became an entrepreneur in the first place.
At Raw South, we’ve always believed wellness is about more than what we eat. It’s about creating a life filled with intention, connection, and opportunity. It’s about investing in ourselves, in one another, and in the future.
And this month, that’s exactly what we’re celebrating.

GLOBAL FUTURE FOUNDERS

One of the most rewarding parts of launching our first Future Founders program was watching these young entrepreneurs step forward with confidence, creativity, and courage. Seeing their ideas come to life reminded me that the future is full of possibility when young people are given the opportunity to dream, create, and lead.

As the program evolved, so did the vision.
What began as a youth entrepreneurship program is now growing into Global Future Founders—a program designed to help young people develop not only entrepreneurial skills, but also the life skills, leadership abilities, and confidence they need to thrive in the real world.
Future sessions will include topics such as:
• Entrepreneurship & Business Fundamentals
• Financial Literacy
• Leadership Development
• Communication & Public Speaking
• Life Skills & Etiquette
• Goal Setting & Personal Growth
• Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
• Confidence Building
Our mission is simple:
Preparing young people for life, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
This next chapter is about helping students become confident, capable, and prepared for whatever path they choose—whether that’s starting a business, pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, or creating opportunities of their own.
I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead, and for the incredible mentors and professionals who will be joining me to help lead and inspire students through a variety of meaningful life, leadership, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship topics. I can’t wait to continue growing this program alongside our community.
The future is limitless.

WATCHING THE FUTURE GROW

One of the greatest gifts of owning Raw South has been watching families grow alongside us.

This month, a young man walked into the shop who has been part of our Raw South family since he was a baby. I couldn’t believe it when his mom showed me a photo from 2015 of him sipping one of our smoothies for the very first time. Today, he’s graduating from 8th grade.
Moments like these remind me that what we build as a community matters. We aren’t just serving smoothies and juices—we’re creating connections, memories, and being part of life’s milestones.
As graduation season comes to a close, we want to celebrate all of the students, parents, teachers, and families who have worked so hard this year. Whether you’re moving up to the next grade, graduating from middle school, high school, or college, we are cheering you on.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026. Your next chapter is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where it takes you. 💚

Watching these kids stand up and pitch their business ideas today honestly moved me more than I can explain.

Their confidence. Their creativity. Their courage to speak up, think big, and believe in their ideas without fear or limits… it was incredible to witness.

What inspired me the most is that they still see the world through possibility. They don’t yet think in terms of “why it won’t work.” They think in terms of “what if it could?” And that kind of mindset is powerful.

Future Founders was never just about business. It was about helping young people believe in themselves, trust their ideas, and realize that their voice matters.

A huge thank you to Coral Reef Library for opening their doors and giving this program a home. Your support helped create a space where these young minds could learn, create, and grow.

Yesterday was our final class for this session, but this is only the beginning. 💡

More kids. More ideas. More courage. More future entrepreneurs.

The future truly is limitless. 🚀💚

What a wonderful first class. ✨

There were only two students, two boys ages 12 and 13, but what they lacked in numbers they made up for in intelligence, curiosity, eloquence, and genuine excitement to learn. Their ideas, their questions, and the way they viewed possibility was honestly refreshing. It made me realize how beautiful it would be to see life again through younger eyes, where everything still feels possible. 🌎💡

The class was supposed to be one hour, and we ended up going for an hour and a half because they were so engaged. We completed the entire first workbook, and afterward I gave them a quiz to make sure they truly understood the lesson. When they answered the questions correctly, they each won a Future Founders T-shirt, and their excitement over something so simple was such a reminder that encouragement matters. 👏🏼👕✨

Tonight I feel incredibly humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to mentor young people and hopefully help shape the way they see themselves and their future. ❤️

And interestingly enough, the statistics are true even among the younger generation, there are still more boys pursuing entrepreneurship than girls. I truly hope that changes over time. I would love to see more young girls step into these rooms, believe in their ideas, and confidently chase their dreams of becoming future founders too. 👧🏻🚀

I also want to sincerely thank the Miami Dade Coral Reef Library, specifically Miriam Quitos-Laso for giving this program a home and for believing in the importance of creating opportunities like this for young people in our community. 📚

And a very special thank you to Evy for making this connection happen. Some people make connections because they expect something in return. She did it simply because she believed in me, believed in the vision, and wanted to help create something meaningful for others. That kind of support is rare, and I’m deeply grateful for it. 🤍

Happy Mother's Day!

Being a mom is one of the most beautiful things in the world… and also one of the most unseen.

It’s the early mornings, the constant thinking, the worrying, the showing up even when you’re tired. It’s giving, over and over again, without expecting anything back.
And if you’re a mom, you already know… it doesn’t stop.
This month, I didn’t want to just say “Happy Mother’s Day.”
I wanted to do something that actually feels meaningful.
So I’m giving one mom a full week of lunches at Raw South.
Not because she’s “the best”… but because of her story. Because of what she’s carried. Because of who she is when no one’s watching.
If someone came to mind while you were reading this… that’s your sign.

And the truth is,
how we feel mentally and emotionally is deeply connected to how we care for ourselves.

Future Founders: Building the Next Generation

In the middle of everything we do,

there’s something else that matters just as much.
What we’re building for the next generation.
That’s why I created Future Founders.
A 4 week program where teens don’t just learn about business,
they actually build one.
From idea,
to product,
to how to sell it,
ending with a real Pitch Day.
It’s something I wish existed when I was younger,
and something I’m really proud to bring to our community.
This program is being hosted through the Miami-Dade Coral Reef Library
and begins May 6th as a 4 week series.

Hi everyone 💚 I’m Yesenia, owner of Raw South in Kendall, and I’m excited to share a new opportunity created with homeschool families in mind, Future Founders, a 4-week, hands-on entrepreneurship program for teens (ages 12–17).

Students will learn how to take an idea, build it into a real business concept, and confidently present it, all in a small, supportive group setting that complements independent learning.

Every woman was once a little girl with dreams, curiosity, and a whole life ahead of her.

For International Women’s Day, we thought it would be fun to share the little girls behind Raw South,,the women who today greet you, make your juices and smoothies, prepare your food, and help bring this little shop to life every day.

Some of us were lucky enough to still have our baby pictures. Others weren’t. Life journeys, moving countries, and migration sometimes mean those memories aren’t kept in photo albums.

So for Yuli from Cuba and Mercy from Nicaragua, we recreated their “little girl” photos the best we could.

Because every woman has a story, whether it’s captured in a photo or carried quietly through life.

Today we celebrate women everywhere their strength, their resilience, their journeys, and the dreams that brought them here.
