This is actually my favorite sandwich โ and one of the reasons is that it has so much going on!

A meal can give us protein, carbs, fats, vitamins and mineralsโฆ
and it can also give us
crunch,
creaminess,
sweetness,
saltiness,
freshness,
comfort,
and ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ.
P.S. Putting the chips ๐ช๐ฏ๐ด๐ช๐ฅ๐ฆ the sandwich is exactly what makes this sandwich hit the spot ๐

Day 5 โ Signs of Healing
One sign of healing? Your voice starts taking up more room.
You begin naming what feels supportive, what doesnโt, and what you need. You may also notice food becoming more enjoyableโless struggle, more enjoyment.
Healing isnโt linear, and it isnโt a checklist. Still, these shifts deserve to be noticed.

Day 4 โ Body Image Gets Better Whenโฆ
Body image healing isnโt about loving every part of your body every minute.
As you progress and recovery thinking becomes clearer,
body thoughts may become kinder, steadierโor simply less consuming.
That matters.
**Because when body image takes up less space, life gets to take up more**.

Day 3 โ Food Shouldโฆ
Food shouldโฆnot be ruled by โshoulds!โ
Food can nourish, comfort, satisfy, connect, and delight.
It doesnโt need to do all of those things at every mealโand it doesnโt need to be โperfect.โ
A more peaceful relationship with food leaves room for preference, pleasure, flexibility, and listening to your body.
If you could replace one food โshouldโ with curiosity, what might change?

Day 2 โ The Bravest Thing ๐ช
Courage in recovery doesnโt always feel brave.
It may look like moving toward something that scares you.
It may sound like telling the truth: โIโm struggling,โ โI need help,โ or โThis is what I need.โ
Bravery can be using your voice or deciding to stay quiet.
Bravery is taking the next right baby step.

Recovery is possibleโand life can get bigger.
In this first of five quick questions with my friend Dr. Jen Nardozzi, we name the heart of recovery: more room for relationships, rest, spontaneity, joy, and the parts of you that have been waiting.
Recovery does not have one look or one timeline. But it can begin with the belief that something more is possible.
How would you answer that question?

"WHAT IF I NEVER LIKE MY BODY? ๐"
Itโs a question many people carry into eating disorder recovery.
You can't force yourself to love or even like your body.
Recovery can begin with respect:
โข Feeding your body consistently
โข Wearing clothes that feel comfortable
โข Treating your body with dignity
As Dr. Jennifer Nardozzi and I discuss, body image may shift as recovery continues and thinking becomes clearer. Until then, body respect can be a safer, more attainable place to land.

GAME, SET, SNACK: What I Pack for a Day at the Office!
๐พ Inspired by one of my favoriteTennis Channel segments โ where professional tennis players show whatโs inside their tennis bags โ I thought Iโd do my own version:
๐ด Whatโs in my lunch bag for a full day at the office.
As an avid tennis fan and player, I love seeing how athletes prepare for long days on court. And as a nutritionist, I know that work days need preparation too.
For me, packing food isnโt about making perfect choices. Itโs about making sure I have enough, including foods that are satisfying, practical, and nourishing โ so Iโm not trying to make food decisions when Iโm already busy and sometimes distracted. Having the food you want to eat readily available is a game changer!
๐ธThis is real-life gentle nutrition: planned, flexible, and enjoyable.

I spent a day of Soul Nourishment :
feasting on friendship,
reveling in riots of flowers,
treasuring the playful topiaries,
and even encouraging my Inner Child to wear Mickey Mouse ears!
