Meet Niksa, one of the people who gives Joe’s its heartbeat. For 25 years, he’s been welcoming guests with the same warmth, kindness, and quiet hospitality that have made him such a beloved part of the restaurant. Originally from Dubrovnik, Croatia, Niksa came to Miami after working on Celebrity Cruises, where he met his wife in 1992.
As one of our three Maître D’s, Niksa believes great hospitality starts with respect, a lesson passed down from his mother and aunt. When he’s not at Joe’s, his go-to meal is mojo chicken with rice and beans, which is about as Miami as it gets. What keeps him here after all this time is simple: the people, the loyal guests who feel like old friends and a company he says has always treated him like family. ❤️
